Every body should know how important breakfast is, right?
I have been having Nutri-Grain (not with milk) plus dark chocolate as breakfast so far this week. My colleagues think this is probably the worst combination as breakfast.
What do you have for breakfast?

What is this breakfast thing you people are talking about?
Can you make money off it?

@Kami: Indirectly maybe.

I usually only eat breakfast on Saturdays, so I make it worth it.

Goal: A nice bowl of Corn Bran. Mmmm.
Reality: Usually nothing.

Mmmm...corned brain.
I'm always up and about without breakfast every morning. Not that I'm a morning person anyway. I'm always much more alert at night. Does this mean I need to start taking my breakfast at night and my dinners in the morning?

Oatmeal and buttered toast. Sometimes I have fresh fruit too. Mmm!
I don't like any type of meat in the morning. Yuck.

On a side note: I often skip breakfast, I sleep maybe 5-6 hours a night, I don't drink caffeine (no coffee, no soda, etc.), and I work long hours at a stressful job -- but I've never really found myself lacking energy. When the alarm goes off, I can be fully operational in about 30 seconds.
Maybe it's the fat reserves. :-)

Mug of tea soon after getting up, around 6am. Then I'll be hungry by the time I get to work at 8am, so I'll have a slice of toast. Used to be a cereal every morning guy, but I can't stomach food in the morning these days.

I've been having an omlette and toast with a coffee every morning for the almost 3 months I've been working this summer job. I just can't function very well at all without breakfast if I have to be up at 5 to start work.

Coffee. I really do know that 'breakfast is the most important meal of the day' but it's still coffee. Period.

I wish I had time for breakfast. Sometimes I'll snack on some cereal while at my desk but not really. Usually it's just a mug of cocoa.

A mug of tea with milk, oatmeal, and some homemade yogurt. I don't do it for the energy, though; I do it because I'm hungry.

Coffee and croissant is fairly usual or pan au chocolat. I also do the bad thing of cigarette with it. Sometimes I opt for melon or fruit of some form. Took me years to get into the habit of eating anything for breakfast and sometimes I still can't do it.

Non-fat yogurt sprinkled with crunchy nutri-grain cereal and 48 oz of ice water.
I never used to eat breakfast. It took me only 45 years to believe what "they" say about it being the most important meal of the day.

This morning: Egg sandwich (2 slices of whole wheat bread, 3 egg whites, cheese and turkey.)
Normally: Scrambled Eggs a la Gnorb--
4 - 6 egg whites (depending on how hungry you are)
1/2 cup of onion/pepper mix (preferably frozen)
1 tsp of dried parsley
1/4 tsp thyme
1/4 tsp rosemary
1/4 tsp sage
1 tsp yellow turmeric
1 - 2 tsp olive oil
2 tbsp salsa
(1 tsp minced habanero peppers, for those who like a nice kick).
*NOTE: All numbers are approximate. Increase/decrease to taste. Hell, it's what I do.
Serve. Ready to eat in under 10 minutes. Delicious, nutritious, and with only about 250 protein packed, heart-healthy calories. Can be served with one slice of wheat bread. If habaneros were added, I recommend a good fruit -- peach, nectarine, and mango recommended -- to accompany, since it brings out the taste of the hot peppers.
**Next week: Cinnamon banana pancakes and cinnamon raisin oatmeal a-la Gnorb** (I make these when guest come over)
Enjoy.

Damn Gnorb. You know how to do breakfast.
I wish I had the energy and stomach to have something awesome like that in the morning. I might try something a little sexy tomorrow morning.

@Gnorb: Wow. And I thought my cinnamon-raisin bagel with butter was a step up in the breakfast field. Tomorrow, I'll _try_ pancakes, and if I can swing that I might try going all-out like you do.

I'm never up early enough for breakfast, and if I am, its usually for an important reason in which, I wake up shortly before I have to do whatever it is I have to do. In this case, its rare for me to eat breakfast.

I tend to like having a banana or two and a fruit & nut bar with a big glass of water. Usually I eat it in the car so it gets points for portability.

Gnorb- that sounds so good
I usually fry an egg and a few slices of canadian bacon and put them on an english muffin with slices of tomato and cheese. done in five minutes and lots of protein. it's like a mcdonalds breakfast sandwich, but good for you.
p.s. I have been known to add a salmon fillet if I have one cooked from the night before.
p.p.s apples and peanut butter on english muffin is also good, or a smoothie

Porridge and red fruit and a cup of tea.
I'm told that I should get a gold star for the porridge, but I'm sure that tea's not good (unless I had some kind of herbal thing which frankly is NOT enough to get me up in the morning)...
