I think I am a pretty good cook but want to start learning deserts...Anyone know a good recipe or a place on the internet I can go to and look at?

Allrecipes.com is one of my favorite sites on the net, and definitely my favorite recipe site.
Here's their top-rated cheesecake recipe:
Chantal's New York Cheesecake
Make sure to read all the tips/advice in the reviews! It'll make the cheesecake much tastier with better results.

There is a website called recipegal.com that has several recipes for cheesecake...including one for almond cheesecake, that is scrumptious.

I'm grumpy and on a roll today, but why post a note if you're not going to come back to it and read the responses? Hopefully, it's not for the points...
By the way, that cheesecake recipe looks stellar and the accompanying photos have totally inspired me to make it ASAP. Yum.

Does it matter if I don't know how to actually make cheesecake but
l-o-v-e it? There is a place locally that has extremely huge, delicious strawberries on top of their cheesecake. Just looking at one piece is at least 500 calories and you can feel your hips expanding as you drool...

Mmm... the best kind!
Back in Philly, we had a Cheesecake Factory. That was the best ever!

i love cheesecake with a passion, usually i get in an arguement with a co-worker about junior's cheesecake vs other styles. i mean there are plenty of great sources out there for a recipe, so get yourself a spring form pan and try some out. also DO NOT MAKE ONE THAT USES THE "WATERBATH" TECHNIQUE. this to me is a cheesecake sin, as you have more of a cream cheese pudding then actual cheesecake.

If you haven't tried a Ricotta cheesecake yet, I would highly recommend it. Especially one with white chocolate. yum!
Also baked cheesecakes are way more yummier then set ones.

Try this cheesecake recipe I haven't tried this particular recipe, but it's quite a basic one so should be good! Enjoy!
