Well about 3ish years ago my front tooth got chipped by the kind of rock that flys. It snapped in halfish along the diagonal, and hurt like hell.

Today, I noticed the gap where the tooth capping met the actual tooth seemed to be really big, and I just tried to ignore it. Then all of a sudden it just got wobbly and fell out (i mean the plastic bit snapped off).

It's Sunday here and most dentists as far as I know are shut. and my tooth hurts because it's exposed.

Thanks for sharing that with us... :)=

ANY time!

I've had a filling that i got as a young tween come out recently. The hole left behind was HUGE. I had no idea they drilled that much out.

Anywho, it HURT LIKE F*CK! I found avoiding anything hot and cold kept the pain away. Taking a couple Tylenol also helped a lot. I had to wait 3 days before I could get a dentist appt.

Good luck man.

:( I have to go to uni tommorow

I have a cavity in one of my bottom molars. I went to a dentist about a year ago to get it fixed. She got in there with her drills and shit, got as much dead stuff out as she could, and filled the hole with temporary filling.

She said to come back in a week and she'll finish the job and put a real filling in place. I never went back, so my tooth just has the yellowy plastic stuff in it now. I'm terrified it will fall out and I'll be agony because of the exposed nerve. But I'm even more terrified of the dentist. Bit of a catch-22.

Don't you just hate that? It's like passing a bad check at the grocery store. You can never come back. Promising your Dentist to do as they say and then not do it makes it hard to come back. They ALWAYS know you're lying. LOL

I WIN!

I had a filling crack and the resulting gap caused a bacterial buildup inside my molar.

I didn't know it because it didn't hurt until the day I had my "adventure".

It was POUNDING pain that morning and I couldn't find a dentist with an open apointment until that late afternoon.

I finally arrived at the dentist to have my tooth looked at and while I was filling out the paperwork I had a grand mal seizure right there in the waiting room.

I remember doing the paperwork and then the next thing I remember is opening my eyes to a HUGE paramedic sitting on my chest.

CRAZY scary!

This might be the most fascinatingly disgusting Note posted yet. I just don't brush my teeth, seems to work out for the best.

Okay, I just made a Dentist appt. for this thursday.

I had a molar split down the middle in three segments, each still attached to my gums. the tooth wasn't ready to come out yet (baby tooth) so they put a metal band around it. when the time game, each piece came out individually.

sounds worse than it is... didn't hurt at all.

I have a "condition" (diagnosed by my dentist) in which my molars have EXTREMELY deep pits in them rather than the normal 'bumpy' surface.

I've had about 4 molars do the same thing that joe's did but these were adult teeth. I HATE teeth.

Dag, that looks painful. One day when I was in the shower, I could feel a ton of small hard things inside my mouth, I felt around and one of my front teeth, the back felt like it had disintegrated. It didn't hurt, but it really freaked me out and was annoying as heck. I got it capped a few months later and now feels back to normal. Good luck with yours!

I have 0 cavities but I could sure use a teeth whitening.

My teeth are fixed and look soooo awesome now !

if it happens again, just get some wax and make a little wax ball. then cover the sharp part with the wax. It will feel weird, but will prevent the jagged tooth from cutting your mouth!

^-^
Good idea!

Damn that looks painful. I think my teeth falling out could be classified as one of my biggest fears. Fortunately they have some crazy dental innovation going on right now and I keep seeing ads for "new teeth in 24 hours".

Mike, is it like 'old notes night' or something?

Scrivs, did I read that right? You don't brush your teeth and that works for you? I know the toothpaste manufacturers and dentists like to fill my head with crap, but surely brushing your teeth at minimum will slow down the buildup of stains and whatnot (plaque I think) on your teeth and gums. Plus it makes your breath nice.
