Just curious...

Me:
Tattoo of Winnie the Pooh eating from a honey pot on my ass. Yes, I have pooh on my butt.

8ga PA CBR

Strangely enough, I don't have any tats and the only piercings I have are just one in each ear. I'm pretty much a blank canvas.

Blank canvas here, also. My son plans on getting a tattoo (I was afraid to ask details) when he makes a lot of money on his project. It looks like within the next 2-3 years. Because he's not in a traditional field where tattoos might jeapordize interviews and office attire, I think it's a good idea.

Other than having one piercing in each ear...I am a blank canvas.

I don't have any piercings or tattoos! I'm empty!

No tattoos, though I really want one. I have two earings in my left ear 8 gage

Have a tattoo. A tribal-like pattern on my back, across the shoulderblades. Got it when I was 17 years old. Drew it myself, which was an important part of the reason why I did it.

No piercings here. I have two tattoos: a cross on my right forearm and an Apple/9rules tat on my left arm.

I know whatever I got tattooed on myself I would change my mind about liking later on so I've never gotten one.

I've never had the desire to add additional holes in myself. I'll void my warranty.

I have 6 tattoos so far. I'll be getting 2 more shortly. I have 2 dragons, a tribal sun, tribal butterfly, my initials, and my parents names written in Korean.

I've also had my share of piercings, although I'm pretty much over them now. 16 total. Sounds like a lot, but I had 7 in each ear (only 6 each now). I used to make sure I had earrings in every hole everyday, but now I'm much too lazy for all that, so I pretty much just wear one pair of earrings now. Sometimes I'll wear studs in the next 3 holes.

I suspected the same myself. And that was another reason why I did it. Having it reminds me that things, including myself, change. And that there's a day after tomorrow.

Ears, Belly Button. No tats.

Only my ears, but I rarely wear earrings.

Just last night I told my boyfriend I was going to get his picture tattooed on his back so the first thing he'd see upon waking up would be his own face.

In all seriousness I'd like to get some ink, but am waiting until my personality's done evolving. Glad I didn't get a tattoo when I was 18, because I'm a pretty different person now.

I have my ears pierced. Once. I've always wanted to get a tattoo, but I just can't think of anything that won't eventually be completely embarrassing on my saggy, wrinkly 80-year-old body.

Cool to hear from everyone. I would like to get a half/full sleeve, there is an amazing tattoist in Lockport at a place called Tattoo city that has done some amazing work.

As for piercings, not sure what, if anything else I will do.

I'm waiting on the removable ink. I think I will like it a lot more when I know it doesn't have to be forever.

I cant get tattoos or piercings because of keloids (mine is nowhere near that big though)
I did get my lip and ears done before I knew it though. Luckily the lip healed just fine but I have this tiny lump behind one of my ears...

I'd love to get tats, but I'm not taking any chances

2 tattoos both on top of each arm. Right arm has a spiral which stands for water and fire which are Simon's and mine birth elements (I'm fire) - he also has the same tattoo. On my left arm is a tattoo Simon designed of celtic style interlocking circles.

I have 4 piercings left but did have a lot more. I have both ears pierced, my labret (lip) and (here we go) my left nipple. I wear titanium studs in all my piercings. I was meant to have both nipples done but it was so painful the result was just one. I've had my nipple piercing for over a decade now and won't get rid of it mainly due to the agony it took to get done - the worst ever piercing in my book and believe me I've tried most. I probably won't get any more piercings but I am tempted as at one point was very into getting as much pierced as possible. I like having 3 visible ones and one private one that's just for me and Simon.

I plan on getting a new tattoo soon as try and get them to mark stages in my life and want one for this year I've had. I may be getting the same one as Simon again. Simon has his entire top of arm down to elbow done with a tribal based design with various symbols for travel and strength in it, he also has an ankle band.

My ex-girlfriend almost talked me into getting the 1up mushroom from Mario tattooed on my upper chest, and I was up for that. Would have been awesome. But then we broke up and I decided it might be a bad idea.

Still want it though. Some day, maybe.

Got my eyebrow pierced when I was 18, too. But took it out less than a year later.

Currently: nothing.

Piercings - three in my ears, and I tend to wear titanium or wood.
Tattoos - currently, two. My left foot which I designed myself. The first is a black work dragon going up my lower to middle back. What it looks like is between me, the dear friend who designed it for me, and the tattooist. And people I know and like well enough in real life to bare my back to them. Not you lot :P

I wouldn't say no to more piercings or tattoos. As far as piercings go I'd probably wouldn't go more adventurous than ears of (maybe) lip.
@karma - I am just wincing at the merest thought of that nipple piercing. I am in am in awe of your pain threshold.
When I get the idea of what (and where) I want, I will be getting more tattoos I expect. The current favourite ideas are the nape of the neck, the inner wrist, and down the side of the ribcage, but it's only been five/six months since the last one and I have a personal rule that I have to know exactly what I want and where for a year before I get something done.

@Cas: now if I had both you could be in awe - one just proves me to be a big girlie girl for not getting the second done when it was booked in ;)

I plan for my next tat to be the lower back / waist line. I have a real want one day to get my wrist done - something simple going up the inner arm a little (maybe symbols not sure). I have a bit of issue with any lettering, I don't really like english words as tattoos and have a fear of getting the wrong thing in another language.

I don't like the idea of removable ink to be honest. To me tattoos are about a permanent marking and I see them as charting life for me. This is also part of the reason I am very very careful about when and what I get tattooed. Removable ink just seems a bit of a cop out to me and mutes the point of getting them done for me.

I currently have 2. Much like karm said, I see tattooing as a sort of "map of my journey in life". My first tattoo (arm) is the logo of the drum and bugle corps that I marched and also where I met my wife. My second tattoo represents the rank of Vigil Honor which was given to me by my fellow boy scouts in the order of the arrow. Growing up the Boy Scouts was a major factor in my life, and given that you cannot EARN the rank of Vigil Honor I felt the need to remember the 'gift'.

On my right arm - shoulder level I have this:

and on my chest I have this:

@Tam - I'll totally agree with not liking removable ink. Like you and RightOn, my tats are landmarks for me. Pretty much impossible to explain coherently, but I know why I got them. Even though I rarely see the one on my back, just knowing it's there is enough. I'd hate to think of either of them disappearing. If nothing else, the foot one hurt like crazy to get, and I'd hate to think of all that pain (and money) wasted!

Yep I agree. To me it's about the fact you had it done. If you are fool enough to get a winnie the pooh and then turn out to love tiger it's your mark in time ;) Seriously though, the only thing I think removable link would result in would be silly futile tattoos and to me the entire point of them is whatever you get it means something. I can't be doing with the 'bet tattoos' or spur of the moment ones - for me that is sort of what piercings were about when I was younger and they are less important to me. Although, as I get older my piercings are also now more important as I have less - there was a point when almost every part that could be pierced was (yep even that ;))

uhhhhh...... didn't that hurt like MAD?

right now i had 2 holes in my ear thats about it. but next year i'm actually going to start the process of getting a complete sleeve. going to get it in stages, so it will take a bit of time to complete, but i've been looking forward to it for years.

@eric: cool Simon's sleeve is a work in progress and so far up to 3+ years and 3 different tattooists. I sort of like that idea though collecting in one large piece.

As for certain piercings hurting - I was far too young and stupid to count hurting into it. I would never go there now and proof of that is the fact I only have the ones I have now. I think I discovered the pain barrier about 25 years old ;)

I got my ears pierced (and my hair permed) when I was 8 (typical suburban rite of passage where I'm from). Then I got my upper ear pierced, my nose pierced and a tattoo of a spiral in white ink on my inside upper arm a couple of years ago. After the piercing/tattoo trifecta, I decided to give it a rest for awhile, but now that I'm getting hitched, I'm thinking it might be time for another tattoo. But definitely no nipple piercing - just thinking about that kind of pain makes me blaaaaaaaaaaaaarg.

Pooh is timeless my friend :=)

Oh I totally got that Age 8 Perm, too. Also a suburban rite of passage. It was a "spiral" perm...from Fantastic Sam's!

I would get a piercing or tattoo if I were completely convinced of a location or a pattern I wanted inked on me. And then of course I always think I'm going to change my mind. Commitment issues, really.

Left ear pierced. I had it done 33 years ago.

Got this tonight: my tattoo

Congrats Ozone42: Koi are meant to be good luck to have as tattoos.

I have two piercings on my right ear, and one on my left. The person who made the piercings the first time didn't get it parallel on both ears, that's why :D
