Hi everyone! First time here, but I thought since I'm finishing up the design and architecture of my and my close friends' sibling blogs, I would get some input.
I call them sibling blogs because they are the same basic idea, design and related, yet they take each takes its own gender perspective on relationships.
The sites are Boy ?s Girls and Girl ?s Boys. They are separate sites for each of us, but are interconnected (see design and post links bottom of the pages).
As I haven't finished yet, does anyone have any suggestions of ways that we could connect them better, while still keeping each on its own domain? We're just starting this, so c&c and suggestions are very welcome!

Sorry, hate to bump, but does no one have any suggestions? Or are the sites utter crap that no one will like?

I would link one to the other in the header somehow.

I shortly visited them yesterday and thought the design what very pretty but also a little bit confusing. I will have to dig more indepth when I have more time but it does really sounds (and looks) like a good idea. :)

I think something like this would probably work better as a "dual blog", have a 2 column layout with "Boys" articles on the left and "Girls" articles on the right. It's a good concept and one I considered doing for a political Left/Right debate blog.
As it is now the HUGE WALL OF TEXT that greets you when you open the page is intimidating, I didn't even realize that links were at the bottom until the second time I visited. The target audience (I assume teenagers) has the attention span of a gnat, they'll see all that text and leave to go update their Myspace instead. Do a paragraph, maybe 2 and throw in a READ MORE link. That will also allow you to bring the bottom content up higher, so people like me won't miss it completely.

Definitely a dual blog. On the boys blog the date story was cute but there were so many little details (like a book not a blog entry) I found myself saying "yeah, yeah, get to the good part", skipped to the end, thought "YES!" and was smiling happy the boy was happy.
For kicks, I wanted to see how many words it was. 1380. If you're going to have that long of an entry, break it up with headers or something.
