Can't say that I've ever done it. I'd try it, but not to confident that I would like it because I like that face-to-face interaction that, personally, I feel is important for relationships. Not everyone feels that way though.
Well, I met a great person through MySpace and we dated for a while but now we're just friends. I think as long you fell that you've made a connection with someone wether it be in person or oneline, that's all that matters.
If you just mean meeting someone online, it's really not much different from personal ads we've had for decades in newspapers and magazines. Well it is different, because people are more accessible and easier to reach.
I don't think you can actually "date" anyone online though. You can talk all you want, but it's just being pen pals until you're face to face.
I think younger people are more likely to online date than older people. And only because younger people have had the internet their whole lives while older people, some, are just getting into it.
I dont think there is anything wrong with it, just a matter of staying safe and using your head.
Been there and done that with good and bad results. Frankly, it's just as random as meeting someone at a bar. You don't really know a person till you actually go out with them a couple of times cause everyone keeps things inside.
Lepistol is right in saying just use common sense. Most people tend to forget that regardless where they meet their dates.
I met my significant other online - it's been nearly four years and we're getting gay married in November. I read her profile online one night and it was love at first read. That said, she was my first and only online date experience.
I did like the online dating thing because it gave me a chance to get to know someone through their writing, which I personally enjoyed. I also liked knowing ahead of time that we were both interested in having a romantic relationship with SOMEONE if not each other. For some people, I imagine that would take the fun out of it, but it just made me more confident.

I know plenty of people who've met their significant other online. If I were not in a relationship now I would definitely do it.

Never done it and would never do it. Just too many things I have to know first.
