It seems that even geek virgins need help in getting some action and it seems that a Dutch Escort agency has filled the niche with their own unique service.
Sociology student Zoe Vialet set up the agency last year, Ananova reports, and admits she's had "a lot of demand from virgins" - most of them from the IT sector. She explained to De Telegraaf: "They are very sweet but are afraid of seeking contact with other people. They mean it very well but are very scared."
Is it really that bad for geeks out there? I'm kind of confused as to what the benefits are from this service versus any other type of escort service that could be had by a geek. Apparently there are 5 specially trained girls who handle the geek clientele and it makes me wonder if they read Plato before doing the deed?
All you need to do is buy a minimum of three hours with the lady of your choice. The Register has the rest of the scoop.

I think there's a "program" at M.I.T. designed to teach the the nerdy and socially inept skills to lure female companions. Hilarious really.

This reminds me of this short story, The Whore of Mensa. (Written by Woody Allen!)
I somehow doubt a huge IQ is part of the service though.

Huh. They'd probably do better at sci fi fairs, or anime conventions - I'd be willing to bet they'd only consider specimens of the same intelligence level.
First question to ask on date: "Explain your existence ... with references."
Mind boggling. >.<

If a girl could could talk about Noam Chomsky or the finer points of applied linguistics in bed, I'd be so turned on.

I doubt it's bad for us geeks because he have our own ways of creating a social life. Nerds on the other hand probably need it, that is, if they are even interested in the first place.

So this is like the reverse of the Geek Squad.

Sigh. Not a good thing. I can't say I've had problems in recent years, infact I've not been single for more than 3 months in like 5 years.
Never mind, might as well get your rocks off with a girl you've never met before who you know has been "de-flowering" geeks across the land. God knows what infections she has. Lovely.
Geeks just need geeky girls, not hookers.

Hate to state the obvious, but virgins are not known for carrying STDs.

Rich - wrong I'm afraid.
STD's aren't solely dependant on your activities but your parents as well. The geek may have behaved himself but did his dad?

Note that I said "not known for" - catching an STD from a virgin [typed "geek" first, had to backspace, haha] is rather unlikely.

Touche then! hehe. Either way I think we can both agree that this is a bit lame. Seriously, prozzies for programmers...

I don't know, it's horses for courses really, isn't it.
If I was as socially inept as the Dutch seem to think geeks are, and a virgin, then I can see how I'd probably appreciate the service. Can't say I'd use it, though.
We've got women catering for men that like to be dominated, men that like to be humiliated, and just about everything else. Why not cater for men that like computers too?

Because it'd be a waste of my money if I was in that situation. Unless you're able to pay by the second I don't see it being useful.

The evil part of me is thinking:
Get the girls to teach the geeks something really bizarre, so when they actually get a genuine lover they weird them out by trying something strange.

Like prioritising her pleasure over your own.
