I have the hardest time finding clothes. I am right between regular stores and the big and tall, it really sucks. Every once in a while I'l find stuff at JC Penny's but I really like Aéropostale right now, I don't know why.
I used to perform magic/illusions and the name of my old web site was shade of gray illusions, shadeofgray stuck with me.
“I am an early bird and a night owl, so I’m wise and I have worms”, - Michael Scott/Steve Carell from the office. I am a night owl, I hate the morning.
My fist job was not until I was in high school, I started working at a store (that no longer exists to my knowledge) called Gadzooks. It was a clothing store similar to Hot Topic, but not as Goth. My favorite manager then left and and we were stuck with the Regional Manager from Hades. It wasn't until about half a year later that manager came to the store and said she could bring us over to the new store she was at and give us all raises, and benefits, the only catch was that it was Wet Seal. For those of you who don't know, Wet Seal is a female clothing store... I'm a dude. So I weighed my options, stay here with a manager I can't stand or get a raise and benefits and talk to a lot of girls... Hmmm. So I worked my way up the ladder at Wet Seal and became a manager. Now I'm a floor installer.
I have friends who got married after meeting each other on hotornot.com, they couldn't be more perfect for each other.
I used to post on Blogger talk, I actually was a Moderator there, but I disagreed with the founder on some, what I consider, important blogging ideas. So I asked to step down as a mod... she then banned me from the site and blocked my IP address. This was about a month ago so I am guessing it's permanent.
Anyway, no, 9 Rules is the only community I belong to... and I believe I'll keep it that way.
I always wanted to be an artist, and then when computer graphics came along I wanted to be a graphic designer, then I screwed myself over in high school. I made some dumb decisions regarding schoolwork habits and that dream is no longer reachable for me. Because of my decisions I don't have the money to go back to school, I am stuck as a floor installer now. Although I am trying to get a little side money designing logos and stuff, but it's not even close enough to what I would call a job.
ozone.... I guess that's true, but here in Illinois most people I know call it pop
wasn't there a rumor going around that said tab caused cancer?
I say Mt. Dew
It is very encouraging that no one has said just give up. Communication is ALWAYS the key, ALWAYS. Nothing will be fixed if you are not communicating. I have know some very strong people who have gone to marriage counseling, it is nothing to be embarrassed about. Gnorb had a great idea as well with that book, I have read it and it's wonderful and full of great stuff, it really helps you understand your partner a lot better.
I would suggest you sit down with your husband, my wife and I have had to do this, and talk. But heres the key, let him talk too, don't interrupt him until he is completely done with his thoughts. don't blame or point fingers, instead use phrases like I feel this way about this issue. And try to repeat back to him his feelings so he knows you understand, and vise versa. This is called the speaker listener technique, sounds corny and obvious but it's amazing how often we forget to really listen to our partners.
I was born in a suburb of Chicago, and now I live in a different suburb of Chicago. Quite boring really. However I want to move somewhere down south.
Right-On: Right, for the most part
Tyme: fair, but erin's was god too
Ok, I know not a lot of you know me too well but have a shot at me.
Rule #9 is "Respect your inspiration"
That said, who are some of the people who inspire you, in blogging and otherwise?
For me my inspiration in blogging has been a couple people, and I try to let them know it as much as possible. the first is my brother Ben, He is one of the best writers I know of, and I aspire to be like that. Another one is Jesse Anderson, I love his design and talent in the graphic arts.
These are a couple of the people I look up to in blogging and design, what about you? It could be for blogging or in your "regular" life.
P.S. I don't know if this was already talked about, if it was I'm sorry but I most likely missed it.
I wake up at 5:45am trip over the cats get dressed and head out the door by 5:55am, drive to my parents house, my dad and I have our own business, and then I use there computer for a few minutes to check e-mail and 9rules, around 7:00 actually go to work.
ok, here's the logic I am seeing from you, there is a huge breakthrough with adult stem cell research helping diabetes, you want to ignore the fact that it was adult stem cells and push the focus on embryonic, that makes no sense to me what-so-ever. Why not demand more research in adult stem cells? We already have many advancements in adult stem cells, it seems idiotic to say that we need to understand embryonic in order to understand adult, when we are seeing so much from the adult research and zero from embryonic, if anything I would say it's the opposite of what you suggest. Why not push research on something we know for certain has results?
no, that is not the driving force, you assume I have these views because I am a Christian. I am a Christian, however I separate my faith in God, from this issue.
We have seen results from adult stem cells, a lot of them, but we have seen 0 (zero) from embryonic. You say we need to understand embryonic to understand adult, but in the same breath you admit they "both are two different things altogether."
The current speculation is that people who are not newly diagnosed would experience similar results from embryonic stem cells. I'm all for using whatever works.
That's it though it's speculation they found a gene, but time and time again they show that embryonic stem cells don't "mesh" well with adults, embryonic stem cells are considered somewhat uncontrollable, it has been found that they form tumors in animal experiments
here you go:

So um, that article doesn't say anything good about embryonic stem cell research, it actually talks up adult stem cell research.
The results show that insulin-dependent diabetics can be freed from reliance on needles by an injection of their own stem cells. The therapy could signal a revolution in the treatment of the condition, which affects more than 300,000 Britons.
well you are! I really think it depends on the context. From what I hear, the vagina monologues are controversial to begin with.
Scgr Scshsh No vowels.
Roro: Mine is Nigr Schch.
I don't know if the first name would be Ok for TV
I use shadeofgray because when I was doing magic I had a website called Shade of Gray Illusions.
I know know I wouldn't want to read about pink girly stuff. What branch are you going into?
Yes, aaand no. I am not happy with some of the choices I have made in the past, like slacking off in school, and that has effected how I live today. So in turn I am not happy where I am as far as that goes. However, I am extremely happy with my marriage, my relationship with God, I am a happy person. Does that make sense?
I get hope knowing that there is a God that loves me no matter what.
14 yrs old? That is pretty odd.
No, but I'd probably call the cops and let them know.
hmm what does this button do?
Stefani, that is hilarious! did you tell her no? j/k No offense to anyone here that is in or from Canada.
My brother gave me one of the coolest gifts ever. As some of you know my brother is Ben from openswitch.org, he "pimped my blog"! I love it so much, you guys should check out his great work!
What is your favorite gift this year?
I have been thinking a lot recently about how I started blogging. At first I thought the idea of a blog was dumb, I considered it an "online diary" and thats it. But when I found out what all you can do w/ a blog, and what it really was, I jumped at the opportunity to get my own. I started out at bravenet.com and slowly worked up to what I have today. What about you, how did you guys start?
Married since May 14 2005. Only getting better :)
