Im leaving on the 19th and I'll be gone for six weeks or maybe more. My blog is not as cool as yours, but I have 200+ RSS subscribers (some of them are real people) and I don't want to disappoint them.
What should I do?
My girlfriend said that shes gonna take care of it, that's my plan so far

You could pre-write entries and use future dates to keep the site updated. Turn comments off so that it doesn't get clogged with spam (might want to explain that).
That way your readers can still read your words while you are gone. :)

Thanks, I think thats perfect because I really don't trust my girlfriend :)
and I don't think my readers would like to read something about Shopping, Fashion, and other Pink Girly Stuff unless they're into that kind of stuff

I know know I wouldn't want to read about pink girly stuff. What branch are you going into?

You're welcome. :)
Many people have guest bloggers but the truth is: the audience wants the blogger and perhaps they will tolerate the guest. Best to use the future function and close comments. Surprisingly many bloggers forget about it.

I think that's awesome that you're going to boot camp.

Good Luck in Boot Camp.
I agree that depending on your readers I am not sure people will read another blogger. My blog they wouldn't, I fairly certain.
Do some funky future posts.
I'm really unfamiliar with boot camp are you totally out of communication for six weeks? No letter writing or email etc?

Just make sure you mention you're going to Boot Camp. I hate Bloggers who randomly disappear for long periods of time with no explanation. As long as I know what's up, I'm cool with it.

Having been through Air Force boot camp myself I can guarantee you that your blog will be the last thing on your mind. Even after the first six weeks there will still be tight controls on what you can and can't do. This will continue through the first few months of training. Honestly, you are looking at 3 to 4 months before you will be given typical freedoms back.
My advice would be to ask some of your readers that comment often to post for you while you are gone. If they have an interest in your blog then they can probably write well on the same topics. Ask 3-4 of them so that the responsibility doesn't lie with just one person. Have your girlfriend moderate so you don't get hijacked.
