I just had a quick conversation with Paul where he asked me if life is useful. I told him that life is useful because it teachers you life-management techniques. The more you live the more you learn how to live.
What do you think?

Useful is an odd word to describe it. Almost everything is a learning experience. It's just that sometimes we shut our eyes and don't see it.

Well, of course life has use. We (all living beings, ourselves included) are nature's creators. We make, we build and generally attempt to make the whole thing work better and more efficiently than some rocks occasionally hitting each other or some elements interacting on a physically random basis. We guide with our creations.
To what end? Who knows. If there is no end, then it is all superficial and nature may as well have let the rocks collide without life coming along to try and stop them with nukes and Bruce Willis.
