Memento is a great movie. Just watched it again. To summarize, Leonard, the main character, has lost his short-term memory in an accident and cannot form new memories. In order to remember things, he has important tidbits tattooed onto his body, he writes himself notes and, perhaps most importantly, takes Polaroids of everyone in his life. He subtitles the Polaroids with one short phrase, to sum up his feelings towards and relationship with the person. The phrase is meant to explain the person's character simply and easily. (examples: "don't listen to his lies," "she's lost someone, too. she'll help you.")

Talking on IRC right afterwards inspired me for this Note. I don't know if it's actually an interesting topic, but it might be fun to try. If not, it will be buried soon enough! So the question is this: If you were a character in Memento, how would Leonard subtitle you?

I think I would be subtitled "Sympathetic and caring. Will help you. Takes no B.S., though, so take care not to upset her."
