20 CommentsMy favorite age (so far) is 23 because it still makes me "sound" young when I tell people what I do or how things are going in my life. Michael Jordan was number 23, I have a tee-shirt with the number 23 on it (which I bought when I was 18, knowing someday I'd be 23), and it's a nice looking number. Unfortunately, my 23rd year concluded about an hour ago and I'm now staring down the pipe at my 24th year. To me, 24 sounds a lot older than 23, because 23 is close to 21 which is pretty close to 18. However 24 is closer to 25, and 25 is close to 30 and 30 is... 30, so by my count, I'm now a large step closer to 30 than I was yesterday, however improbable as that may sound.
Regardless of my age, the exciting thing (at least for me) is that 9rules is now my biggest focus, something I haven't been able to see since we started 9rules. It's going to be an interesting year :)

I thought you were older too.
But that could be because I hate that I seem to be older than everyone else around me lately. I'm not looking forward to this birthday (25), because it just reiterates to me how much older I am than the "average" college student.
But, happy birthday! 24 is so much more fun than 23. Because no one likes you when you're 23, or so Blink-182 would have you believe.

Yeah, getting older can be hard to deal with, but you already have a lady so that whole "they" won't find me desirable/I can't get laid thing shouldn't be a problem for you no?
Besides, every day we get is a gift, so enjoy. :)

Happy Birthday. :) I would say that in your twenties, your favorite year is always the one before the one which you are turning. Same for me--my favorite year was 27. Twenty-8 is certainly turning out to be grand, though...

happy birthday,,, personally although turning 30 was a crisis inducnig moment, the 30s are my best time so far. I think every age has the potential to be the best it's just a case of getting over the figure issue.

And I totally get how 24 feels miles older than 23. I had a mini moment when I turned 24 six months ago - and arg! six months? That means only six more till I'm 25... - and I couldn't explain it to people, but someone being 24 just SEEMS so much older...
The only good thing that's come out of being 24 so far is when I told my mum I was getting a new tattoo - she came out with "well, I suppose you are 24 now so there's not a lot I can say about it". Almost made it worth while :D
