Know Your Friends....a parable

So we're about to Starbucks, Jason says 'hey Dave, call Bridget see if she wants to go' well, my phone is back in Jason's room charging up since it died earlier in the afternoon. Jason looks to Liz, and asks her to call. Liz says hang on a sec, and walks off. I'm informed when Liz (a liar) comes back that she doesn't have her phone either.
Jason offers to go get it for her, when Liz says "No no, that's okay, I actually had it this whole time" (the first lie)
She "calls" Bridget (another lie, as she admits to Jason Wednesday morning that she pretended to call Bridget). The 'conversation' continues, Liz 'hangs up' and tells us Bridget said she's going to work out with her friend Kristen (the third lie). So we leave.
Skip to today, I see Diana (another person in the group, who is turning out to be a huge catalyst in this all) come into the club house, where I'm playing pool. Bridget doesn't come in with her, but decides to come in through another door. I run to the door closest to me, call out to Bridget and say "Hello". She kind of gives me a half-assed head nod, and keeps walking. Because of the fact that Bridget and I hang out the most, I instantly know she's upset about something.
I called Bridget about 10 minutes ago only to have Bridget tell me Liz eventually talked to her this morning, and said "Well, Dave didn't want you to come" (the fourth lie), which Bridget says she knew down inside wasn't the truth.
Just know, I'm VERY upset with Liz who up to this point, has been acting all chum chum with everyone.

Basically, Liz lied to us 4 times about inviting Bridget to hang out with us, who has already been having a shitty week, and is now acting as if nothing happened.

I hope Liz is worth the headache. I certainly would not put up with her.

We've yet to figure any of this out, but apparently, she's at it again. Me, I didn't talk to her much at all to begin with. She was just this omnipresent person who always insisted on riding shotgun (whilst breaking every rule of, mind you), acted like a 12 year old about everything else and demanded she got her way.
And of course, I'm probably the only one who noticed this stuff.

And the crap keeps racking up, Bridget calls Liz to talk to her about the whole lying thing, Liz PRETENDS to act like her voicemail is picking up, but apparently forgets to tell the people in the background to STFU, Bridget stops her in midsentence to cuss her out, and Liz hangs up on her.
It's about time someone got punched in the face, eh Charlie?

This is so complicated I had to go lie down for a moment after reading it. And then I had to mix a drink. Oh, wait. It's Friday. I would have done that anyway.
A useful rule of thumb in personal relationships: the more complicated the relationship the worse it is. Simple = fun. Fun = worth doing again.
This woman is a bummer. She should not be part of your life.

She's not a part of my life in as much as .... something that doesn't sync up with something else.

Dook -
If they're really your friends you wouldn't have issues like this. Your title for this note is "Know Your Friends....a parable" but if these people are lying to you and acting in this manner, then they aren't really your friends.
It might sounds simplistic, but Bloglily is right. When you're really, truly friends with someone, you don't wonder what the heck is going on in your relationship.

This sounds like drama.
