What's the best thing that you did this week - or that happened to you? Did you save the world, kick ass on your job, ace a test - come on, tell us.
For me: I found the keycard that lets me in through the back entrance of the building at work. I had lost it, and sadly I was going in late everyday - and going through the front entrance - when I work at the back - was like taking a walk of shame - who's seeing me, who's checking how many times I've been late - when are they going to tell my boss - who was on vacation.
When I found it, I nearly screamed with joy - now i could sneak in ... still late. I promise to turn over a new leaf next week though.

I got ... 40 points in 9Rules?
I figured out how to overcome a dominating collar grip in Judo!
Yeah ... that's about it.

I... Er...
This week hasn't been a great one for me to be true.
But I did manage to coordinate the move of our five teams from one office to the next, get everything unpacked and reconnected, and not loose anything in one day. Does that count?

Oh, I'd say that counts, Cas. I cannot for the life of me come up with a highlight from a week characterized mostly by just doing what I am supposed to be doing with regularity and some competence. Sometimes, that is enough.

bloglily - I'd agree. Sometimes just getting by is all one can hope for in a week.

I found a bird's nest seven days ago. The next day it had one egg in it, and now it has six. Life beginnings...that is always a wonderful thing to see, and I can't wait for the little hatchlings.

I completed two designs this week, they're both mine, but I likes 'em both.

Kolophon
Blatant plugs... I know...
Other than that, I've managed to do very little else. I went on a hunt and found my wife's favorite flavor of ice cream (it's hard to find!).

I got recognized for my design work by the company who runs our site hosting for the college newspaper I work for. Which I promptly emailed to everyone I know! :D
Unfortunately my boss is still letting me go May 1. (Because he does not understand the internet and thinks he can get one of the print designers to take my place. But that's another tale for another day).

I can't remember anything that happened last week.
Well actually I remember finishing my driving lessons, but only since the last one was yesterday morning. ;)

Peroty: Good for you on the recognition! Put that on your resume.
I'm sorry about your job, though. ):

@LorriM Thanks! It's there now.
I'm half waiting for the start of next semster when he realizes he has no one who knows the system. At all. LOL But that's not my problem. :D
(If anyone has ever dealt with CollegePublisher, they'll know what I mean.)

Wow, you guys use CollegePublisher? Ha.
Let's see...this week started off really shitty and it hasn't gotten much better. But, I'm hoping next week will be better. :)

Yeah, we're stuck with it since the school doesn't want to throw any time/money/resources of any kind at the student media, especially for any kind of online anything. She's a cruel mistress, but I've learned how to tame her. Still working on wrapping my head around Four51 though. lol
Both very, very powerful and flexible systems. Both horrendous pains in the butt to use.

Dude...Wordpress. I've heard of a few big student papers using it. It looks awesome and I hear it works well for them. Both of those are definitely powerful and flexible, but in a lot of cases, too big for what you need.

I saw the sunrise every single day last week.

Peroty: I'm glad it's on there. It's an important piece of information.
I hope you find something fast.
Scrivs: How lovely. Even though were up early, sunrises are always special.

My grass turned green and trees on my land are getting ready for the Spring Show. My sump pump worked perfectly all last week. My officemate showed up very little. The anxiety level in my building went up considerably as final exams are closer and I was quiet and laying low to not interfere or get in their way! It was a good week because it is done and I am alive and well.

I second seeing sunrises as a great thing. Although it isn't so great when it happens because you haven't slept.
For me, I got all my work done, went away for the weekend, and watched the sunset on a beach with my girlfriend and a cool glass of cider.

@Joshawesome, I was actually in the process of building a new site for the newspaper in Textpattern (I'm more familiar with it than Wordpress) so I could get off the Collegepunlisher system. There are parts of it that are nice, but it's got major downsides as well. lol
@LorriM, The design gig was a second job (the one I enjoyed far more!) So I'm still gainfully employed, just not as happily. ;-)

Peroty: Oh, okay, glad you are employed, even though it isn't as happily. Whew!
Ollie: No, it isn't so great when it is due to the fact that you haven't slept.
