I tend to spend at least two hours a day surfing the web, plus time inbetween while I am working. I am wondering how much everyone else spends.

I"m on the net from the time I get up until about 2hrs before go to sleep. I potter in and out working / using net so it's constantly on doing something as I work online. I go out of course when have to during the day but it's pretty much all day plugin for me. Surfing happens as my breaks from work so not a regular time. Most of the time being online is me working not surfing. It all depends on how busy I am.
A month or so ago I implemented a 2hr rule where I switch off the net and have at least a few hours at the end of the day where I can down time with a book - I say 2hrs but sometimes it's only an hour. It's become an important 'switch off / wind down' time for me.

probally 1 to 2 hours a day, but i have a really slow internet connection, so really slow internet gets pretty boring after a while, i like offline working a lot better, that should be allmost 4 to 5 hours on a pc, but that wasn't your question...

I spend a good part of my day online. I probably spend about 75% of my time at home (awake) online, so unless something good is on TV, I'm generally online. My pup is starting to get jealous though, so I suppose I need to exercise a little web restraint.
Also since most of my classes require us to sit in front of a computer, I am online a good deal at school also.

It really depends on the day, what I am involved with offline, and other variables. On an average, I will say I spend about three hours online, sometimes less, sometimes more. Those hours aren't consecutive hours, but me online here and there throughout the day. When I am involved in research for a project, I will be on longer.

I usually spend anywhere from 3 hours to 6 hours a day online. Ok, here is a second question, how does your internet usage break down? in terms of news, entertainment, and school? For instance, I guess mine is 70% news, 20 % School, and 10 % entertainment. What is your break down?

When I'm home and it's summertime, the weather is bad and gas is too expensive, I'm online about two hours a day in spurts.

I average 2-3 hours a day, except lately it's been less because I have been wrapped up in the Harry Potter series.

Working as a programmer, I am not the Net always, either through the chat or surfing or conferences. But I spend about a couple of hours on the Net for reasons other than work.

Since I work in ecommerce, I'm on the web all day long.
In addition, I do personal communication (emails), money management (banking and investing), research, and blogging all online. This makes drawing the line between being on the computer and on the internet sufficiently difficult.

At work, constantly whether it be researching support issues or recreational. At home, not so much. I usually avoid my computer nowadays.

Sadly way too much lately. If at home writing prop papers, which I have been on and off over the last ten days, the computer is always online and my intentions are not to be scrolling around but it is distracting, so I could be three to five hours a day.
When I go to work physically maybe a couple hours a day usually at night.

I am probably online 10-12 hours during the weekday, but at least 8 of those are for work. If I go beyond the 8 I'm either still working, or playing a game online at night after getting in. The weekends I'm out a lot.
