I've had "that kind" of day several times while in treatment. It could mean many different things, but mostly it always goes back to the same reoccuring theme of "why is this happening to me".

I had a couple of those days this week actually. For me, that saying means that I'm just out of it, and getting my work done is harder than normal and my brain is just flustered. Don't know why that is but it's possibly from lack of sufficient sleep.

"Looks like somebody has a case of the Mondays". quote from Office Space.

"Shit, Peter I believe you get your ass kicked fer sayin' sumthin' like that". Another quote from Office Space.

I agree with JPhill, we're(human) all prone to experience days or times when we're just out of it. I get that especially when I have to sit and listen to people whine(not in this case of course), even when I'm having a good day.

I think it'd be an interesting social experiment if it can somehow be infectious and see how many people feel the same way at the end of a day when you repeat this sort of mentality to people around you.

I think the phrase, as you say, can be applied to any type of day, really. I mean, let's face it, it's very non specific.

"Hey, Scrivs, you seem to be off your game today. What gives?"

"Just that kind of day, I guess."

Or better yet:

"Hey, Scrivs, you're smiling a lot today. What gives?"

"Just that kind of day, I guess."

Off my game? Sorry Gnorb, those days don't exist.

@Scrivs: Then you probably wouldn't have that kind of day then. :)
