I have to go with red due to the passion that it represents. Both anger and love all wrapped up into one bright, beautiful color. What's your favorite?

In web design, I like to deal with blues. In life, I would have to choose green, because it represents nature, which is a pretty big part of life.

I like vivid reds and greens personally. Saying that I like any bright colours (prehaps its a reflection of my personality). Looking around the web it is interesting to see the number of different colours used and destinct lack of some colours.

Blues make me sad. Greens make me happy. But I feel ya Eddie on the bright colors, that's my wardrobe basically.

Gotta go with the primaries because they can interact so well. Right now I'm in my blue and green stage (not the new 9rules header, note some of my clients' sites with blue headers) just because they're so versatile.

I like "clean" colors. I hope that doesn't sound too retarded, but I like colors that can be integrated with other colors that maybe you wouldn't think of putting them together. Unexpected pairs. I do like green and blues are nice too.

Every year it seems I have a different favorite color. This year I'm trying out purple. Never liked purple, but for some reason, this year is purple. For paint I really like green. I only say that because I'm in the middle of painting though.

I like blues and greens best, and usually use them most in web designing, too. I like cool, clean designs.

I like pink best, but recently I've got a thing for green, particularly of the chartreuse, lime, and pale grass varieties.

I grew up loving on blues but I guess I've turned into an actual *girl* by liking pink now.

In high school, we used to say that blue was superior to green in every way, and purple was the answer to anything. "What are you having for lunch? Purple."
These days, I'm all about the greys. Grey on the web site, grey in the wardrobe, grey in my yarns. I see grey and I think "I must have that now." I don't know what it is. Oh, and reds, too. But the dark ones. Dark like blood.
Yep. I know there is something strange with me.

Lisa you see grey and think "I must have that now". I can honestly say you are the only person I've encountered I've heard say that. You're truly unique girl, truly unique.

@ Justin - I also think light clear is pretty good too... for when you want to give something a brighter, more airy look ;)
Personally, I like purple... although, I don't really use it much for client work.

I'm a bright colour person too (as if you couldn't tell from my blog). I've always loved vivid red, royal purple and forest green.
I used to hate chartreuse and lime green -- a reaction to my '70s childhood I'm sure -- but I'm coming around. Lilac and lavender are growing on me too. (Not literally though.)

Unequivocally, red. A substantial portion of my wardrobe is red, my car is red, my bike is red, and my website has been red for 85% of its life.

I'm quite fond of Cyan and Magenta, and would name my kids after those colors. Cyan for boy, Magenta for girl.

I would say I'm more a fan of 2 color combinations than of any one color. I passed through a purple and green kick and am currently going through a neon pink and cyan phase (again). I used to lean towards blue in all my designs, with a proclivity towards green in my wardrobe. Now I wear all colors, and my design ranges from monochrome grayscale to bright 4-color work.

I learned in a few webdesign books and classes about the prefered colors for this medium. Black, Red and White have the highest contrast values and are able to be readable in any combination.
If you want to high impact readable site use mainly Red, Black and White

Some interesting choices I am seeing here and surprised that blues don't dominate as much as I thought they would. Red is where it will always be at though, no matter what you think.

I guess I have a sort of 70s-esqe thing going on... but my apartment is bathed in greens and oranges. I like combining the colors that are opposite each other on the color wheel, too.
You should see my blue + orange combo scrubs at work. They're hot! Haha.

When I think of colour I think of Table Mountain, Cape Town. A deep red earth tone, as ancient as the planet, makes you feel human.

@Lisa: I love gray, too! Not totally washed out ones, though, because they make me look paler than I already am. But beautiful, rich grays and silvers are amazing.
I'm also a big fan of purples, blues, and greens... those colors have the unique ability to calm me, while at the same time making me feel alive and energetic. It depends on my mood.

Deep shades of green, here. The color you see in a forest; when the sunlight hits it between the trees, it's magnificent. I also see it as the color of 'growth' and that likely comes from my hobby of gardening and living in an area that can get 10 feet of white snow. Spring eventually arrives, and it's green!

Blood red, jet black, navy blue, chrome silver.
Incidentally almost all my clothing follow that scheme. I wonder what that says about me.
